This site runs on a custom $5 DigitalOcean virtual server with Nginx and PHP 7.4 with custom fastcgi_cache configuration that serves stale cache during content updates and errors for a snappy user experience.
It uses the Twenty Twenty-Four theme and the following plugins:
- Minit for concatenating all styles and scripts into single bundle.
- Cache Version for If-Modified-Since HTTP request support.
- Disable Emojies to disable the emoji polyfill from WordPress core.
- Replace Images to replace existing images with a new upload.
- Icons Block for native WP SVG icons in the block editor.
